Long waited post is finally here , sorry for the procrastination , surely i will change my "delaying" attitude , my bad..
i was thinking , how many weeks has it been since the reunion party? a week before the CNY, you do the math .. (i will sit down , take my sabbatical and sip my cappucino hahaha)
let's start from the beginning. still remember i was home alone in penang for 2 weeks ? and when Ray came back from KL , proposal was just suddenly made without any second thought...( just imagine how bored and desperate i was hehe)
basically, it took us (the organizer : ray and me) about a week just to contact all the listed guest , from that time , i finally realised when each of us takes the "differet path" , it will be damn hard to unite us back , i couldn't imagine how much will the phone bill cost for me to have a daily phone-dialling to INVITE them (sigh) , but good news tho , 3 quarters of the class showed up in the end( thanks for the face giving heheheehehhehe)..
4 days before "the" party , back and forth for me and ray to TESCO and MAKRO to buy all the necessities and ingredients , still remember both of us kept nagging to each other inside the car , regreting why in the fucking world we made such a dumb party bash , but thanks to Brit , one of the royalties who willing to ditch his "classy attitude" and joined us in the middle of the preparation ,what a saviour of our party , apppreciate heaps.
The day before the occasion , we (me ray and brit) went to GURNEY PLAZA to remind all the attending A-lists . As you all know that resting and bitching at coffee bean is a must for the royalties everytime when we are at gurney...and all of a sudden , i felt soo depressed and scared ( maybe for the first i organize things..hehe) that nobody will turn up and whatsoever , you know a pesimistic cool guy like me....(sigh)
time has arrive and YIKES!!!! my door bell never stopped buzzing and the motorcycles honked all night long , from that moment , i know i have succeeded my sole mission : my first gathering since 2002 yay!!!!!!
let's talk about that day's agenda :
1) starters : homemade garlic bread ( pukka , all of them like it , relieved )
2) main course : speggeti bolognese with fries( with rosemary , but the cheese wasn't enough tho , but they all aren't picky about food anyway )
3) side dish ++ appetizer : barbeque chicken , fish ball , squid ball and sausages
4) junkies : cuttle fish , CNY delicacies , cashew nuts and preserved food
5) dessert : variety of popsicles ( red bean , corn , jackfruit and durians )
still remember the clasic joke by ray while we were cooking , since we were the chef of "the" night , why not each represents a famous chef...hmmm
me : hmmm who should i be then???
ray : easy , you will be Jamie oliver since you are cooking pasta and i will be Kylie kwong (in a girlish way , hahahahahahaahah)
me : how about brit?
ray : errr , let him choose , chef Wan Ismail or Agnes chang (i nearly spilled my pasta sauce)
Greg joined us half way , as a..........maria (filipinos maid), basically we were just commanding him to mop the floor, pity him hehehehe.
Surprisingly , the party started at 8 and the psata finished in glismped of time . The barbeque practically started at 12 midnight and ends at 4 in the morning.
another jokes : at 2 o'clock in the morning , Adam asked us not to make a big fuss during the barbeque , then jonathan said let's prepare more barbeque chicken just in case if neighbours come and complain , we will just use the chicken wings and stuff their mouth (!!!!!)
the barbeque session actually is the most memorable one , whilst barbequeing , most of us (some of them were inside the living room , watching movie) sat in a round and talked about sex jokes , you know , men and women..( god!!! so wish that there will be another gathering again )
in the end of the gathering , everybody paid us the fees without any complains about the price , is good to know that they realised what's the real intention which lies behind the occasion , all is not about the food , but is about the memories and friendship we shared...

duh~~~~~~~ in the end, the food was not enough and they didn't complain or anything.....besides most of them like me , dieting
